Starting off – I was RAK-ed before I could even do anything
So, my mom and I were shopping for mechanical pencils in Walmart. I wanted to tell my friends about the RAK Louisville project and then give them a mechanical pencil to kick it off in my class.
This man (who was shopping for folders in the same aisle), comes up to us and hands me $5 – and tells me, “I really like that idea. Here is some money to help pay for the pencils”. And then he walks away. I was really shocked. He must have overheard me talking to my mom or Dad. I told him Thank You so many times! Wow.
Andrew,
Thanks for bringing this concept into our classroom! I love the idea and I know that RAK will make a difference not only in our learning community, but in the local community as well. I am so proud of your leadership and courage to share your passion for positive change!
Fondly,
Mrs. Burns
Thank you for letting me share this idea in class!
Andrew,
You have such a big heart. What a great idea! I can’t wait to see how this transpires and how the Smiths can create our own RAK.
Thank you for reading my blog. I am sure the Smiths will have a good time with RAK. Please take photos I can post on my blog.
Awesome!! So proud of you for turning your thought into action!! Can’t wait to hear the rest of your adventures.
Congratulations Andrew! This is going to be a great month for you and your friends along with the local community.
I’ll be keeping a watch on your blog to see you you guys get up to.
Would love for Leia to do this too.
Love to all of you from Malaysia.

Aunty Peng,
Please share stories to us from KL.
Great idea Andrew! I am so proud of you! How about we take this global and start a RAKsetapak in KL?! I would love to do this in our neighbourhood and I can already picture a few things we can do to kick this off! Would love to hear your ideas on how we can make this work.
Thank you for visiting my blog.
Some of the ideas are:
– making it a point to hold the door,
– leaving a gift basket on the front step of someone’s house
– buying the next person behind you their breakfast at s place like a starbucks.
So those are some ideas that I have. Maybe you can use Facebook to get your friends to also do some acts of kindness.
For Kindness ,

You are welcome for the pencils.
hey Andrew,
Today, Sena and I rak-ed someone. We filled a box with stuff we did want, but the kid who lives in that house would. The kid was 2-3 years old. We put a pink scarf, a couple books, and a lot of squinkies in the box. We put the box outside of their house, and ran away. We put a note on it that said, “you’ve been rak-ed! Random Acts of Kindness. Merry Christmas!”
yours truly,
Skylar;) 🙂
Hey Skylar,
